Older Work > Waiting

Waiting examines the concept of transformation in terms of identity by taking materials typically found in Hindu religious ceremonies and re-contextualizing them to suggest the emotive experience of adjusting to new environments.

During the course of this sculpture, the hanging adornments filled with dyed ghee gradually transformed by melting onto the layer of cotton underneath.
