MOVE WITH US
is a public art project highlighting the collective cultural movements in Queens by current immigrant residents. Artists Roshani Thakore and Fumi Nakamura visited public spaces throughout Queens and met and photographed 167 immigrants to capture the most diverse borough in the nation through the cultural poses of its residents. These personal poses have been sequenced for a video
to highlight the collective cultural movements by Queens residents.
The video premiere and opening reception was Friday, November 7th from 6 - 9 pm at the Queens Council on the Arts.
Food was provided by our lovely friends at Tortilleria Nixtamal
